What Customers Say About Apple AirPort Express with Air Tunes (M9470LL/A):

I love that I can hook up my printer and stereo to this and place music and print via wireless connection. It literally took about 3 minutes to setup and I have been impressed ever since. Great product, I recommend it. Over the last couple of years, I have dealt with the cheaper netgear, d-link wireless routers, and I can say that this apple airport express is the best and easiest to use. I know that this product cost a little more than the run-of-the-mill brands, but it is worth it in customer service and reliability.

Oh, by the way - this thing is excellent for streaming your iTunes music wirelessly anywhere in your house. you can buy it directly from Apple for only $99.00 with free shipping. Woah. No point purchasing the AirPort Express from Amazon.

A little disappointed that Apple products don't "just work" seamlessly. Personally, I had to keep resetting it until I got it to work (aka create a wireless network that could be detected by my Macbook Pro).

Problem is with ITunes and the company does not provide any support for this issue. Set back was that after it was installed I found out that the connection is skipping since upgrade to ITunes 8. With music dropping in and out this set up is not working any longer. Got this to stream music from ITunes on Labtop to remote speakers of stereo. Just have to say that set up was easy.

For the money, a really product and good execution by Apple. This is a November update (installed in October): After listening to the Airport Express via the analog out and comparing the same radio station streamed from a Squeezebox, we realized although it is better than our soundcard, it leaves room for improvement. The improved wifi coverage was substantially better than with a Hawkings amplified antenna could deliver. Everything worked, no error messages. I first attempted it in "Expert mode" (Airport Utility) and, while everything worked I was getting three different error messages.

For a bit over $100, I extended my wifi coverage and distributed an audio signal substantially better than any sound card I've ever had (lots).I've had the AX for a year using wifi. We added an outboard DAC. Then I went back in Expert mode and set some static IP's I need. My signal was too weak (distance and walls) and I was getting the inevitable dropouts at times.I just changed it to a wired WDS approach to provide ethernet to the other side of the house and provide a good quality audio signal to our reference system.

I then reset my AEBS (worked on a DI-624 as well) and AX back to factory defaults and let Apple's auto configuration tool do the work. Although at least doubles the price, the addition of a DAC is highly recommended to those who value sound quality. The DAC is solid and provides a much higher quality signal than whatever is in my computer and an M-Audio sound card. Setup was not the simplest.
